
Lance held the envelope in his hand and breathed in. He knew he had to leave or the ache would be more than his heart
could take, but that didn't stop the pain of actually doing it, thought Lance.

He took a deep breath and knocked on Dylus' bedroom door.

Dylus sighed when he heard the knocking. He'd been dreading Lance's arrival. He knew he wasn't going to let a friend
of two decades go, but he never expected this turn of events.

He hastily pulled a robe over his shoulders and went to open the door.

Lance took a sharp intake of breath.

Dylus looked so beautiful, thought Lance. Dylus' hair was mussed to perfection and he wore an open robe, displaying
those perfect muscles. Lance felt the urge to run his hands over the body of that alabaster god; that beautiful man

Lance stopped himself and reminded himself why he was there.
"Sir... here's my resignation." said Lance quietly,
holding the envelope. Immense sadness washed over him. The very action made him feel as if a hand had reached inside him and
gave his heart a very hard squeeze.

Dylus held the envelope in his hand and began to feel a rage well up inside him. How dare Lance do this to him. Nobody
can do this to him, especially Lance!
